What the Bank Feed shows
The Bank Feed lists the transactions from each bank account you linked through Plaid, so you can record what each one paid or received. Every transaction is Unmapped, Mapped or Ignored. Mapping a transaction records it against a property, unit and category, which keeps your income, expenses and reports in step with your bank.
Link a bank first
The Bank Feed shows banks you have linked. On the web, open Banks & Cards and choose Add Bank Account, then Connect with Plaid, sign in to your bank and choose Link Account. In the mobile app, open More, then Banks & Cards. Only the account owner can link a bank. New transactions arrive on their own; an owner or co-owner can choose Sync on the Bank Feed to fetch the latest now.
Open the Bank Feed
On the web, open Banks & Cards and choose Bank feed, or choose Unmapped Transactions on Reports. In the mobile app, open the Financials tab and choose Bank feeds. Pick the bank at the top, then filter by Unmapped, Mapped or Ignored. The feed opens on Unmapped, the transactions still waiting for you.
Map a transaction to a property, unit and category
Choose Map on the transaction (in the mobile app, tap the transaction, then Map Transaction). Choose Add an existing record to pick the rent charge, bill or record it pays, then Use this record. Or choose Create a record and fill in the Category, the Property and, when the category needs one, the Unit. Check the amounts and choose Confirm mapping. The transaction moves to Mapped.
Map or split a transaction
Map records the whole transaction against one record, which fits most transactions. When one bank transaction covers several things, such as a mortgage payment with escrow or a store run for two properties, choose Split across categories and add one split for each record. The splits must add up to the transaction amount to the cent before Confirm mapping is offered. Choose Map to one record to go back to a single record.
Accept suggestions in bulk
KeyRing suggests a mapping under a transaction when it recognizes it, with how confident it is. Choose Accept to map it in one tap, or Not this to dismiss it. Accept all high-confidence maps every high-confidence suggestion on the page at once. Under Automatic mapping, turn on Automatically apply my confirmed rules to map a merchant for you once you have mapped it the same way at least 3 times. Each automatic mapping shows Applied automatically, with Undo.
Ignore, restore or unmap
Choose Ignore for a transaction you don't need to record, such as a transfer between your own accounts. Find it later under Ignored and choose Restore to bring it back. To change a mapping, open the mapped transaction and edit it, or choose Unmap Transaction to return every linked record to its balance before the mapping.
Match a payout or deposit
When rent paid online reaches your bank, the deposit is a Stripe payout. Choose Match a payout on that deposit to match it to that payout. A cash deposit can be matched from the unpaid charge with Map payment.
