Who can record cash
On the web, owners, co-owners and property managers can record cash payments. Accountants can view payment records but can't change them.
Mark a charge paid in cash
On the web, open the charge, for example from Payment history on the lease page. Choose Mark paid in cash, enter the Amount and the Paid On date, and add notes if you like. Then choose Record cash payment. The amount can't be more than the balance still due. A partial amount leaves the rest due. This option shows only while a balance remains and no online payment is linked to the charge.
Add a cash record
On the web, open Payments and choose Record Payment to open Add Cash Record. Record Payment is also under Reports. Choose Income, Expense or Capital Improvement and pick a Category such as Rent. Choose the Property, Unit and Lease. When you pick a Rent Period, the amount fills in with the balance due. Enter the Amount, the Paid On date and Notes, which are required, then choose Save.
On the mobile app
Open Financials and choose Add Cash Payment, fill in the details, then choose Save Payment. On mobile, Add Cash Payment is available to owners and co-owners.
Undo or correct a cash payment
If you marked a rent charge paid in cash by mistake, open the charge and choose Undo cash payment. Its paid amount returns to zero and the full balance is due again. A record you added yourself with Record Payment can be edited or deleted instead.
Match a cash deposit
If the cash reached your bank and shows in your bank feed, you can match it instead of marking it paid in cash. Open the unpaid charge and choose Map payment. This keeps your bank feed reconciled.
